There will only ever be one Tarleton in Miniature

In 1980 I acquired the Peter Gilder AWI collection that appeared in the Curt Johnson book. The collection was ten times more than appeared in the said book. Part was owned by Frank Hinchliffe, the rest with Peter. I retained the collection for a number of years before selling it on. I only kept one single mounted figure....Tarleton....this beautiful figure, nicely painted was designed by the renowned scultor Edward Suren....a figure of style and movement, never surpassed. I can make figures but I have never had the desire to replace this masterpiece in my collection.
I met Mr Suren a few times in the early 80's at his workshop. Lovely man.
