Prinz Xaver whilst on his march from Oberlossnitz to Kotzschenroda was informed by Hadik hussars that a Prussian force had been sighted entering the environs of Kotzschenroda.
The Prinz assembled his troops into battle formation.... An opportunity to see his Saxon troops in action...
