Hungarian regiment Bethlen

When I saw the amazing artwork of Regiment Bethlen by Patrice Courcelle I knew it was a 'must have' for the miniature collection.

It was a four battalion regiment and was involved in a number of actions during the Silesian Wars and the SYW.

In 1748? the regiment was to follow Austrian regulations and have white uniforms and different coloured undergarments. I doubt very much this was achieved by the start of the SYW. Yes, some companies but not four battalions.

I have white coats on only five figures, 'a regiment in transition'.

1 officer
2 drummers
2 ensigns

But only the coat. All undergarments including leggings are in the original colours.

Flags are one of the variants for Hungarian regiments 1743-45.

All figures and flags painted by the exceptional brush man David Jarvis.
